Could Larimar be your Birthstone?

We're probably all familiar with the list of traditional birthstones but, I came across a book by Judy Hall, The Crystal Bible, wherein she describes “new age” birthstones!
According to the book, if you use the Color Wheel of Life, Larimar is a "natural birthstone".
Because Larimar is blue, it is the natural birthstones of those born "as the world awaits the vernal equinox and spring" (February 19 - March 19). This is a time when new life is about to burst forth, a time of faith and trust. Blue crystals bring you patience and respect.
Coincidentally, that would make Larimar my birthstone! Perfect!
